Should I use Social Media if there is a Restraining Order and How do I do That in Order to Avoid Being Accused of Violating a Restraining Order?

You want to be very careful in terms of using social media depending on what the Restraining Order states. There are many times where there can be confusion about whether it is a violation or not; so certainly, at a minimum if you are going to use social media you would want to make sure that you unfriend that person as being the contact in your social media.

Do not write or post anything that uses the name of the protected person or identifies them in any other way.

Do not post pictures, videos, statements of the other person.  Do not discuss the Restraining Order on social media and you also want to make sure you adjust your security settings on social media so that the protective person cannot see the content.  Again, you also want to be careful because you are likely to have a similar circle of contacts even if it is not a violation of the Restraining Order potentially that it does not get back to the person who has the Restraining Order.
