The Hearing Officer will begin to record the hearing. The Hearing Officer will explain the process and have everyone introduce themselves. The Hearing Officer will then swear in anyone who will be providing information at the hearing. The Hearing Officer will ensure everyone has all the documents that were submitted before the hearing.

DCF will present their information first, and you can ask questions of DCF and then you would be able to present your case through your attorney or yourself.  You will be able to testify and DCF can cross-examine. You can introduce witnesses, again you should give them notice of the witnesses ahead of time. The fair hearing officer can ask you and the witnesses questions.
