Many times, clients contact attorneys at the very last minute about who is going to do the drop off and pick up and exactly what time things should occur.  It is very important for parents if there is not an explicit order to have some conversations ahead of time to figure out what needs to occur; or if there is something that needs to be litigated and not wait until the last minute to contact an attorney or to file something in court as there is limited ability for the court; particularly during COVID-19 to hear these matters immediately.  It makes much more sense financially, emotionally and problem-solving pattern to try and resolve that with the other parent ahead of time if you can’t figure out what needs to be litigated ahead of time and not wait until right before Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years or whatever the holiday is to figure that out as much as you can ahead of time.
