COVID-19 – In Juvenile Court for Care and Protection Matters that are Non-Emergencies.

The petition shall be emailed or faxed to the appropriate court by petitioner after the Judge review it. The Judge will make a determination by email and a fax from the parties. When there is a court investigator or a GAL that is appointed to a care and protection matter prior to March 16^th the appointment will be suspended until May 4, 2020 and if they are appointed after March 16^th, they are marking their investigation until after May 4^th. If the court investigator completes the investigation prior to May 4, 2020, they can fax or email a copy of the report to the appropriate court location.

A Guardian ad Litem or a GAL shall be extended for appointments and reports until after May 4, 2020, excluding cases where the Judge determines the issue is time sensitive.
