How does technology/monitoring play a role in custody cases?

It is becoming more common that parents rely on GPS tracking for their phones or watches for themselves, and start using these devices for children, where they can access where the children are through smartphones or watches, smart home devices, school monitoring apps, AirTags, and things of that nature. Sometimes, there can be significant conflict within the family, particularly if it is a divorce case or a high-conflict custody case, in terms of having the safety of knowing where the child is versus the other parent being concerned about their privacy or their privacy when they are spending time with the child. It has been one that has been litigated more and more often about being able to use AirTags or similar devices for the children during the other parent’s parenting time.
