Some flat fees may be available options in Criminal, OUI, and Juvenile cases. Partial retainers and payment plans may be available. Contingency fees are available in personal injury cases. That means that no legal fees are owed by the client unless there is a recovery with the exception of reasonable expenses and disbursements as necessitated by the personal injury case itself. Such expenses would include, but not be limited to, costs of expert witnesses, costs of discovery, filing fees, and all costs which are necessary to properly prepare and litigate the case.
A simple, chapter 7 bankruptcy starts at $1300 flat fee and chapter 13 starts at $2500.
Simple wills, durable power of attorney and health care proxy start at $350.
Mediation services are billed at $220 an hour, which may be divided among the parties. There is a two-hour minimum to draft documents and no retainer is required.
